Capturing Love and Service: Michelle's Devotion to Family and Community
There's no better way to grasp the impact Michelle has had on her community, her family, her daughter through pictures. From volunteering at the horse rescue in Avon, Connecticut, to cooking for the homeless in her church in Avon she embodies a dedication to helping those in need. As a devoted mother and with her daughter representing the USA Ski team in the 2024 Olympics, Michelle's commitment to serving others has been a constant thread throughout her life. Whether it's through equine therapy for special needs children or other initiatives, Michelle's compassion shines brightly in everything she does. Currently at York CI, Michelle continues to give back to the community by developing braille books for Connecticut children with visual impairments. This demonstrates her nurturing nature and dedication to helping those in need. She has always given back and always will.

ABOUT MICHELLE TROCONIS
Michelle Troconis is the oldest of four daughters born to a well-known professional couple from Caracas, Venezuela. Her father, Dr. Carlos Julio Troconis, is a world-renowned cardiovascular surgeon who was recognized in 2010 as one of the top 100 Latinos in Miami. This honor goes to extraordinary Hispanic figures that are the best examples of giving back to a community in Miami; showcasing a journey of success, kindness, and perseverance. Dr. Troconis, through his foundation, has dedicated his entire life to saving the lives of those underprivileged children, irrespective of race, religion, or political belief, who are suffering from cardiovascular diseases in South America and the Caribbean.
Her mother is a licensed psychologist who graduated magna cum laude from one of the best universities in Venezuela and South America. In the late '70s, the couple decided to expand their knowledge and specialize in their respective careers and made the decision to move to the USA. During their residence, Michelle was born on September 26, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was a twin with a boy who died at birth due to a congenital disease. Two years later, her sister Daniela was born, and both grew up always being best friends.
In 1980, both parents decided to return to their native country, Venezuela, with their two daughters; then Michelle’s third and fourth sisters, Marisela and Claudia, were born. Already a family of six members, they were young, active, professional, and had many dreams to fulfill. Unfortunately, Carlos Julio and Marisela got divorced in 1987, but they always preserved their friendship and prioritized the interests of their children above their individual goals. It was a very amicable divorce, characterized by an environment of mutual respect and admiration for each other.
Michelle after graduating high school in Caracas, Venezuela and with a cheerful and curious spirit and always wanting to help, decided to continue her studies. Having grown up in an environment of medicine and psychology, she decided to study Special Education. She got her degree in Special Education with a mention in Children with Special Needs.
With a passion for nature and horses (she was a highly competitive rider in horseback riding), she decided to bring a new concept of therapy to Venezuela; she got certified in Equine Therapy for people with special needs. It is through this passion and love for both people and animals that Michelle opened the first Therapeutic Riding Center in Caracas, conducting safe and appropriate lessons for riders with special needs.
Michelle has been financially independent from a very young age. While studying for her college degree, she worked as a professional young producer and model.
After graduating and curious about life, she was contacted to work in television in Argentina. ESPN hired her as a producer and host of a winter TV show called "Snow Time." In 2004, it was at this time that she met the father of her daughter; they have a beautiful relationship, always putting their daughter first, even after they separated in an amicable way after eight years together. They have continued to support each other and raise a beautiful and healthy daughter.
In 2012, Michelle and her daughter moved to Miami to be closer to her family. Living in Miami, she started working as a corporate event organizer for various television channels in South America.
Michelle is a dedicated mother who has always prioritized raising her teenage daughter and supporting her dreams of becoming an Olympic skier. Through Michelle's commitment to her daughter's education and ski career, she has excelled, representing both South America and the United States, and achieving first place in her category. In 2024, she proudly represented Team USA at the Winter Youth Olympics, finishing an impressive sixth in the world.
